Trouble Maker: A Call to Make Good Trouble
Nelson Mandela was born Rolihlahla, a Xhosa name that literally translates to "pulling the branch of a tree," carrying the colloquial meaning of a troublemaker. From his early days as a fiery revolutionary to his time as a convenor of people, he was never ashamed to be a troublemaker in the face of unjust systems.
This aligns profoundly with the words of US Civil Rights Leader John Lewis:
"When you see something that is not right, not fair, not just, say something, do something, get in trouble, good trouble, necessary trouble."
